The electrodes incorporate \u03b1\u2010cyclodextrin as ionophore, dibutyl phthalate or 2\u2010fluorophenyl 2\u2010nitrophenyl ether as plasticizers and potassium tetrakis[3,5\u2010bis\u2010(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate (KTFPB) as cationic additive. The slope increased from 61.2 to 63.8\u2005mV decade<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> and the practical limit of detection from 2.6\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22126<\/jats:sup>\u2005mol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> to 2.5\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22125<\/jats:sup>\u2005mol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> when the plasticizer was changed from 2\u2010fluorophenyl 2\u2010nitrophenyl ether to dibutyl phthalate. When incorporated in the flow\u2010manifold the membranes composed by dibutyl phthalate or with 2\u2010fluorophenyl 2\u2010nitrophenyl ether presented slopes and a practical limit of detection of 69.8\u2005mV decade<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> and 1.5\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22124<\/jats:sup>\u2005mol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> or 73.7\u2005mV decade<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> and 5.4\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22125<\/jats:sup>\u2005mol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>, respectively. The electrode presented stable responses for over a year, and were highly selective concerning the representative species of the two sample matrices assayed as interferents.
