Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that Gly is adsorbed on the metallic centre of the copper phthalocyanine molecule, with formation of Gly\u2010copper ion complexes. An analytical method was developed using DPV in pH\u20057.4 phosphate buffer solution, without any pretreatment steps: Gly was determined in the concentration range of 0.83\u20139.90\u2005\u03bcmol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>, with detection limit 12.2\u2005nmol L<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> (2.02\u2005\u03bcg
