The temperature dependence of the band intensities established the presence of two conformers in the liquid phase (the <jats:italic>s\u2010cis<\/jats:italic> and <jats:italic>s\u2010trans<\/jats:italic> forms, with C\uf8feC\uf8ffC\uf8feO dihedral angles equal to 0\u00b0 and 180\u00b0, respectively; \u0394<jats:italic>H<\/jats:italic><jats:sub>(<jats:italic>s\u2010trans<\/jats:italic>)\u2010(<jats:italic>s\u2010cis<\/jats:italic>)<\/jats:sub> = 3.43 \u00b1 0.84 kJ mol<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>) and led to the conclusion that the thermodynamically most stable <jats:italic>s\u2010cis<\/jats:italic> form is the only form present in the solid.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1002\/jrs.1250220909","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2005,5,28]],"date-time":"2005-05-28T15:52:00Z","timestamp":1117295520000},"page":"519-523","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["Rotational isomers of methyl <i>trans<\/i>\u2010cinnamate: A Raman study"],"prefix":"10.1002","volume":"22","author":[{"given":"M.
