Functionally graded metal matrix composite structures, on the other hand, are being considered as an alternative to the coatings. The present study aims to study the corrosion behaviour of CoCrMo matrix 10% (vol.) HAP reinforced composites processed by hot pressing technique. Electrochemical tests consisting of potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were performed in phosphate buffer saline solution at body temperature. The corroded surfaces were analysed by field emission gun scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive X\u2010ray spectroscopy.
