The effect of the concentration of the Gd<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>:4 mol% Eu<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup> nanorods on the kinetics of the photocuring reaction is followed using real\u2010time FT\u2010IR. Thermal and the mechanical properties of the cured films are also investigated. Moreover, the effect of the matrix and nanorod concentration in the composites on the emission and excitation spectra and the <jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>D<jats:sub>0<\/jats:sub>(C<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>) decay time of Eu<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup> is evaluated.
