In both cases, almost single\u2010phase CCTO fine powders were obtained from the calcination of the gel precursors at lower temperatures and shorter times than those reported for the conventional solid\u2010state reaction process. The structure of the calcinated powders and sintered pellets were characterized by X\u2010ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Impedance spectroscopy measurements were performed on the sintered pellets obtained from the different powders, in the frequency range from 40\u2009Hz to 110\u2009MHz, at room temperature. The results are discussed and compared.
