The structural investigations are carried out through powder X\u2010ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared techniques. The morphology is examined using high\u2010resolution scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The temperature\u2010dependent luminescence properties are completed at 378\u2009nm excitation. The photoluminescence excitation analysis is carried out by controlling the emission at 545\u2009nm corresponding to Tb<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup>:<jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>D<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>\u2009\u2192\u2009<jats:sup>7<\/jats:sup>F<jats:sub>5<\/jats:sub> transition. The suitable excitation wavelength is selected as 378\u2009nm for efficient emission by studying the emission spectra at several excitation wavelengths. The emission spectra show two groups of emission bands through Tb<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup>:<jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>D<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\u2009\u2192\u2009<jats:sup>7<\/jats:sup>F<jats:sub><jats:italic>J<\/jats:italic><\/jats:sub> and Tb<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup>:<jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>D<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>\u2009\u2192\u2009<jats:sup>7<\/jats:sup>F<jats:sub><jats:italic>J<\/jats:italic><\/jats:sub> transitions. The concentration\u2010dependent investigations reveal the optimum Tb<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup>ions concentration as 2.0\u2009mol% for intense luminescence.
