Under 274 and 396\u2009nm UV excitations, intense red luminescence is observed through <jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>D<jats:sub>0<\/jats:sub>\u2009\u2192\u2009<jats:sup>7<\/jats:sup>F<jats:sub>0,1,2,3,4<\/jats:sub> transitions. Based on concentration\u2010dependent luminescence spectra, the Eu<jats:sup>3+<\/jats:sup> concentration is optimized to be 12.0% for efficient red luminescence. The Commission International de I\u2019Eclairage coordinates and hence the color purity and correlated color temperature values are obtained from the emission spectra. The thermal stability is examined using the temperature\u2010dependent luminescence study.
