Status Solidi C"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,5]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p>A new salt based on the [Ni(\u03b1\u2010tpdt)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>]<jats:sup>\u2010<\/jats:sup> anion, (\u03b1\u2010tpdt=2,3\u2010thiophenedithiolate) and on the K<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> crown\u2010ether cation [K(18\u2010crown\u20106)]<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> is magnetically characterized. This salt exhibits interesting magnetic properties resulting from the spin polarization within the anionic molecule and from the specific molecular interactions arrangement in the crystal structure. Therefore the magnetic properties are due to the competition between AFM and FM interactions leading, at low temperature, to a cluster glass behaviour that is also associated with the ligand cis\u2010trans disorder.
