The chapter gives an overview based on the findings of the EU-funded \u201cThe Once-Only Principle Project (TOOP)\u201d. The authors summarise the developments related to the once-only principle and the SDGR in Europe. They also outline a vision for the future of the OOP in Europe. The vision is based on the analysis and the key take-aways from the previous chapters of this book. It also highlights the next steps to further improve the technical and legal basis and the chances given by the update of the eIDAS regulation.
