To provide interoperability, edge devices as well as backend systems use standardized communication protocols. Vendors of such systems often certify their products to verify compatibility to a certain version of communication protocol standard. Since standardization and certification processes are classically very time consuming, they seem to be incompatible with agile software development. Therefore we proposed an agile standardization and certification approach. Here we will present a basic implementation of a microservice based certification platform that supports certification as a service. The platform allows software vendors to integrate certification of their products directly in their continuous delivery pipeline.
