Vannevar Bushs Vision einer riesigen Erweiterung des menschlichen Ged\u00e4chtnisses, Lernmanagementsysteme und Massive Open Online Courses sind allgegenw\u00e4rtig. Ein gro\u00dfer Teil des Lernens im kognitiven, affektiven und psychomotorischen Bereich findet jedoch nebenl\u00e4ufig als Begleiterscheinung der Nutzung digitaler Medien im Alltag statt. Es wird noch weitgehend von Lehrenden und der E\u2011Learning-Forschung ignoriert. Der vorliegende Beitrag bespricht zun\u00e4chst markante, oftmals unhinterfragte Paradigmen des E\u2011Learning, die zu diesen Paralleluniversen von formalem und informellem Lernen f\u00fchren. Um Ver\u00e4nderungspotenziale digitaler Medien f\u00fcr das informelle Lernen zu analysieren, zeichnen 172 Lernende im Alltag 543 informelle E\u2011Learning-Episoden als Screencasts auf, die erg\u00e4nzt werden durch partizipative Feldforschung des Autors in entlegenen Regionen und Kulturkreisen. Die Schlussfolgerungen k\u00f6nnen Lehrenden helfen, das informelle Lernen ihrer Studierenden f\u00fcr formale Lernziele zu nutzen.
