Diese Diskussion, gesch\u00fcrt durch die Angst vor einer unkontrollierbaren generellen K\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz (KI) und angeheizt von ethischen Dilemmata bestehender Systeme, hat viele Institutionen und Wissenschaftler dazu bewegt, Werteprinzipien einzufordern, an denen sich die Entwicklung komplexer Systeme zuk\u00fcnftig orientieren sollte. Diese inkludieren i.\u202fd.\u202fR. die Forderung nach Privatsph\u00e4re, Sicherheit, Transparenz, Fairness etc. In diesem Artikel wird dargestellt, warum das Abarbeiten von Wertelisten f\u00fcr eine gute bzw. ethisch legitimierte Systementwicklung unzureichend ist. Es wird gezeigt, wie stattdessen ein wirklich ethisches \u201eValue-based Engineering\u201c aussehen m\u00fcsste, damit technische Produktinnovationen insgesamt auf bessere (ethischere) F\u00fc\u00dfe gestellt werden. Value-based Engineering (VbE) ist eine prozessgetriebene, ganzheitliche Herangehensweise an die Systementwicklung, die zun\u00e4chst aus den Ideen des Value Sensitive Designs und dem Ethical Computing sch\u00f6pfte.
