We conducted a systematic review of the relevant literature to test the reliability and validity of the scale. The scale demonstrated acceptable reliability and validity based on a randomized sample of 211 studies extracted from the output of the systematic review. The scale can help provide a more complete assessment of the quality of the design process of technology-based supports for autism and be beneficial to autistic people, their families, and related professionals in making informed decisions regarding such supports.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1007\/s10209-023-00995-y","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,5,11]],"date-time":"2023-05-11T11:06:24Z","timestamp":1683803184000},"page":"1739-1749","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1007\/springer_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["A user-based information rating scale to evaluate the design of technology-based supports for autism"],"prefix":"10.1007","volume":"23","author":[{"given":"Vanessa","family":"Zervogianni","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Sue","family":"Fletcher-Watson","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Gerardo","family":"Herrera","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Matthew S.","family":"Goodwin","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Elise","family":"Triquell","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Patricia","family":"P\u00e9rez-Fuster","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Mark","family":"Brosnan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-7141-5946","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ouriel","family":"Grynszpan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"297","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,5,11]]},"reference":[{"key":"995_CR1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","first-page":"122","DOI":"10.1037\/a0019438","volume":"14","author":"K Durkin","year":"2010","unstructured":"Durkin, K.: Videogames and young people with developmental disorders.
