One of the four main LHC experiments is A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE), which is dedicated to studying the properties of quark\u2013gluon plasma, a state of matter that existed shortly after the Big Bang. To enhance its data collection capabilities, ALICE underwent a significant upgrade during the LHC\u2019s Long Shutdown 2 (2019\u20132021). This upgrade focused on modernizing the experiment\u2019s detector and data acquisition (DAQ) systems. The result is a vastly improved ability to capture and analyze data from heavy-ion collisions.
