However, until now, the question of measuring the measurer, or valuing the contribution of an E&M capability to organizational success has not been addressed. We tackle this problem by analyzing how, by decreasing estimation uncertainty, E&M platforms allow for better prioritization. We quantify this benefit in terms of expected relative improvement in the performance of all new propositions and provide guidance for how much an E&M capability is worth and when organizations should invest in one.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1007\/s41019-020-00121-5","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,5,23]],"date-time":"2020-05-23T10:02:52Z","timestamp":1590228172000},"page":"152-167","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1007\/springer_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":9,"title":["What is the Value of Experimentation and Measurement?"],"prefix":"10.1007","volume":"5","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-6516-2364","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"C.
