Covering the use of remote sensing, georeferencing, data scraping, contemporary census, early modern period population counts, spatial disaggregation, spatial analytics, network analysis and new network-based socio-urban measures, the methodology offers a single semi-automated design for the reproducible urban analysis of a metropolitan area, culminating with the production of eight urban models covering periods from the late XVI to the early XXI centuries.
