Phys."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2018,10]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract<\/jats:sc>\n          <\/jats:title>\n          <jats:p>In this work we consider kink-antikink and antikink-kink collisions in a modified <jats:italic>\u03d5<\/jats:italic>\n            <jats:sup>4<\/jats:sup> model with a false vacuum characterized by a dimensionless parameter \u03f5. The usual <jats:italic>\u03d5<\/jats:italic>\n            <jats:sup>4<\/jats:sup> model is recovered for <jats:italic>\u03f5<\/jats:italic> = 0. We investigate the <jats:italic>\u03f5<\/jats:italic> \u226a 1 regime where the kink in the presence of false vacuum can be understood as a small deformation of the standard kink for the <jats:italic>\u03d5<\/jats:italic>\n            <jats:sup>4<\/jats:sup> model.
