In the bivariate analyses, age, years living in the US, having insurance, a usual HCP, and an HCP visit within the last year were associated with mammogram recency (
p
<0.10). The multivariable logistic regression model revealed that having a mammogram in the last two years was associated with age (OR = 1.09, 95% CI = 1.06, 1.12) and having an HCP visit in the last year (OR = 2.00, 95% CI: 1.15, 3.48).
</jats:p>
</jats:sec>
<jats:sec>
Conclusion
One-third of study participants had not had a mammogram within the past two years, so increased efforts to promote mammography among Brazilian-born women may be warranted.
