This paper reports on a workshop that highlights preliminary work done by the working group on Gamification in the scope of European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), which aims to explore the possibility of developing and testing a gamified learning module on academic integrity values. In this paper, the group aims to look at proposing steps we are currently using to develop storyboards of scenarios for the first phase of the project, which were presented at the 6th International Conference Plagiarism Across Europe and Beyond 2020 held virtually in Dubai as a workshop. The study also presents updated findings and scenarios drawn from the workshop conducted and audience feedback, in the following sections that pave the way for the future stages of the gamification process. This serves as a guide to academics and researchers in academic integrity who may wish to study gamification and apply it to develop their own modules for their learning modules.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1007\/s40979-020-00068-0","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,3,18]],"date-time":"2021-03-18T00:05:35Z","timestamp":1616025935000},"update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1007\/springer_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":20,"title":["Initiating count down - gamification of academic integrity"],"prefix":"10.1007","volume":"17","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-3386-4222","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Zeenath Reza","family":"Khan","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Jarret","family":"Dyer","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Sonja","family":"Bjelobaba","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Sandra F.","family":"Gomes","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Dita Henek","family":"Dlabolov\u00e1","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Shivadas","family":"Sivasubramaniam","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Soly Mathew","family":"Biju","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Ajrina","family":"Hysaj","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Priyanka","family":"Harish","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"297","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,3,18]]},"reference":[{"key":"68_CR1","volume-title":"First ever gamified moral education programme successfully trialled in UAE schools.
