While the first phase focused on the impact of globalization on the quality of jobs in developing countries, the subsequent phase addressed a whole range of issues, including gender dynamics, corporate responsibility, the impact of pandemics and the importance of meaningful work. This thematic shift is indicative of an adaptation to current challenges and a broader approach to the concept of decent work in a changing social, economic and global context.
