These exo\u2010\u03b2\u2010glucanases show different <jats:italic>M<\/jats:italic>\n<jats:sub>r<\/jats:sub> values and kinetic properties, although they are immunologically related. Their carbohydrate content and the electrophoretic mobility of both endoglycosidase H\u2010treated exo\u2010\u03b2\u2010glucanases suggest that they share the same protein fraction. Studies at genetic level relate the production of both extracellular exo\u2010\u03b2\u2010glucanases with the expression of a single\u2010copy gene in <jats:italic>S. cerevisiae<\/jats:italic>.
