We examined the I\u2010factor activities of several authentic nm23\/NDPK proteins, i.e recombinant rat NDPK \u03b1 and \u03b2, recombinant mouse nm23\u2010M1 and \u2010M2, and recombinant human nm23\u2010H1 and \u2010H2 containing a mutant nm23\u2010H2<jats:sup>His<\/jats:sup> protein lacing NDPK activity. Almost all these nm23\/NDPK proteins showed I\u2010factor activity. Moreover, to understand the active domain exhibiting I\u2010factor activity of nm23\u2010H2 protein lacking NDPK activity, we have investigated the I\u2010factor activities of some truncated nm23\u2010H2 proteins. The truncated nm23\u2010H2 protein containing N\u2010terminal peptide 1\u201360 retained the I\u2010factor activity.
