Similarly to the A\u2010chains of ricin, sc\u2010RIPs act as rRNA <jats:italic>N<\/jats:italic>\u2010glycosidases. We demonstrate here that dianthin 30, saporin 6 and gelonin exert a specific nuclease activity on supercoiled DNA.
