We have found a long lasting prepulse facilitation (up to 3\u2010fold) of the cardiac Ca<jats:sup>2+<\/jats:sup> channel \u03b1<jats:sub>1C<\/jats:sub>+\u03b2<jats:sub>1b<\/jats:sub> that lasts for tens of seconds without altering current kinetics. The voltage\u2010 and time\u2010dependence of the installation of facilitation was characterized as well as the time\u2010 and use\u2010dependence of the decay of facilitation.
