We report here that this peptide promotes the association between two non\u2010receptor tyrosine kinases, p60<jats:sup>Src<\/jats:sup> and p125<jats:sup>FAK<\/jats:sup>, and elicits a parallel increase in tyrosine phosphorylation and activity of both kinases. Gastrin\u2010induced PI 3\u2010kinase activity was coprecipitated with p60<jats:sup>Src<\/jats:sup> and p125<jats:sup>FAK<\/jats:sup> and was inhibited by herbimycin A, the selective Src inhibitor PP\u20102 or cytochalasin D, which disrupts the actin cytoskeleton and prevents p125<jats:sup>FAK<\/jats:sup> activity.
