By using yeast two\u2010hybrid assays, we identified OS\u20109 as a protein capable of interacting with N\u2010copine. We further revealed that the second C2 domain of N\u2010copine bound with the carboxy\u2010terminal region of OS\u20109. Their interaction in vivo was also confirmed by co\u2010immunoprecipitation from 293E cells co\u2010expressing transfected N\u2010copine and OS\u20109. In vitro binding assays showed that this interaction was Ca<jats:sup>2+<\/jats:sup>\u2010dependent. By Northern blot analysis, N\u2010copine and OS\u20109 were co\u2010expressed in the same regions of human brain.
