Each clone has been mapped and the identity of the tubulin\u2010related genes has been established by cross\u2010hybridization with a cDNA containing a complete \u03b2\u2010tubulin coding region from <jats:italic>Chlamydomonas<\/jats:italic> and by the positive hybrid\u2010selected translation assay.
