ECI uses an information classification \nschema, provides a modular approach to task decomposition, and \nintegrates standard engineering characteristics and working \nprocedures into software. A software tool kit that interprets \nmonitoring data taken from bridges was developed according to \nECI guidelines. This tool kit was given to engineers for testing \nand evaluation. An empirical evaluation using questionnaires \nwas performed.
