It is apparent that the *-autonomous categories studied at length in by Barr (1979) are a model for a large fragment of linear logic, although not quite for the whole thing. Since the main reference is out of print and since large parts of that volume are devoted to results highly peripheral to the matter at hand, it seemed reasonable to provide a short introduction to the subject.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1017\/s0960129500001274","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2009,3,4]],"date-time":"2009-03-04T04:02:54Z","timestamp":1236139374000},"page":"159-178","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":106,"title":["*-Autonomous categories and linear logic"],"prefix":"10.1017","volume":"1","author":[{"given":"Michael","family":"Barr","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"56","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2009,3,4]]},"reference":[{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref009","first-page":"371","volume-title":"Contemporary Mathematics","volume":"92","author":"Seely"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref004","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/978-3-642-99902-4_22"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref008","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/BFb0018360"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref003","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-4049(89)90163-1"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref002","volume-title":"Lecture Notes in Mathematics","volume":"752","author":"Chu","year":"1979"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref001","volume-title":"Lecture Notes in Mathematics","volume":"752","author":"Barr","year":"1979"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref007","first-page":"47","volume-title":"Contemporary Mathematics","volume":"92","author":"Paiva","year":"1989"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref006","volume-title":"Contemporary Mathematics","volume":"104","author":"Makkai"},{"key":"S0960129500001274_ref005","unstructured":"Lafont Y.
