In the handling of exceptions we dissociate the control from the elementary operation that recovers from the exception. In this way it becomes apparent that there is a duality, in the categorical sense, between exceptions and states.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1017\/s0960129511000752","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2012,5,8]],"date-time":"2012-05-08T06:12:00Z","timestamp":1336457520000},"page":"719-722","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["A duality between exceptions and states"],"prefix":"10.1017","volume":"22","author":[{"given":"JEAN-GUILLAUME","family":"DUMAS","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"DOMINIQUE","family":"DUVAL","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"LAURENT","family":"FOUSSE","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"JEAN-CLAUDE","family":"REYNAUD","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"56","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2012,5,8]]},"reference":[{"key":"S0960129511000752_ref6","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/978-3-540-27815-3_34"},{"key":"S0960129511000752_ref5","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/978-3-642-00590-9_7"},{"key":"S0960129511000752_ref4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/3-540-45931-6_24"},{"key":"S0960129511000752_ref1","unstructured":"Dumas J.-G. , Duval D. , Fousse L. and Reynaud J.-C.
