J."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1993,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Normal-convex embeddings are introduced for inverse semigroups, generalizing the group-theoretic concept, due to Papakyriakopoulos [<jats:bold>4<\/jats:bold>]. It is shown that every E-unitary inverse semigroup admits a normal-convex embedding into a semidirect product of a semilattice by a group, a stronger version of a result by O'Carroll [<jats:bold>3<\/jats:bold>].
