Plasma Phys."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2011,10]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p>This paper focuses on the progress in understanding the shielding around a test charge in the presence of ion-acoustic waves in multispecies plasmas, whose constituents are positive ions, two negative ions, and Boltzmann distributed electrons. By solving the linearized Vlasov equation with Poisson equation, the Debye\u2013H\u00fcckel screening potential and wakefield (oscillatory) potential distribution around a test charge particle are derived. It is analytically found that both the Debye\u2013H\u00fcckel potential and the wakefield potential are significantly modified due to the presence of two negative ions. The present results might be helpful to understand and to form new materials from plasmas containing two negative ions such as Xe<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> \u2212 F<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup> \u2212 SF<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup><jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub> and Ar<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> \u2212 F<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup> \u2212 SF<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup><jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub> plasmas, as well as to tackle extension of the test charge problem in multinegative ions' coagulation\/agglomeration.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1017\/s0022377811000055","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2011,2,15]],"date-time":"2011-02-15T12:33:26Z","timestamp":1297773206000},"page":"663-673","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["The optimum shielding around a test charge in plasmas containing two negative ions"],"prefix":"10.1017","volume":"77","author":[{"given":"W.
