{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,1,16]],"date-time":"2026-01-16T09:24:27Z","timestamp":1768555467604,"version":"3.49.0"},"reference-count":21,"publisher":"Cambridge University Press (CUP)","issue":"S1","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2017,2,28]],"date-time":"2017-02-28T00:00:00Z","timestamp":1488240000000},"content-version":"unspecified","delay-in-days":0,"URL":"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/terms"}],"content-domain":{"domain":["www.cambridge.org"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":["Powder Diffr."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2017,9]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>\n                    A combination of neutron diffraction, synchrotron X-ray diffraction, and high-resolution extended X-ray absorption fine structure measurements has been used to clarify the correlations between long- and local-range structural distortions across the spin-state transition in powders of LaCoO\n                    <jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\n                    and La\n                    <jats:sub>0.5<\/jats:sub>\n                    Sr\n                    <jats:sub>0.5<\/jats:sub>\n                    Co\n                    <jats:sub>0.75<\/jats:sub>\n                    Nb\n                    <jats:sub>0.25<\/jats:sub>\n                    O\n                    <jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\n                    . The analysis of the diffraction data has revealed that the isotropic thermal parameters of Co\u2013O bond abnormally increase below 100 K in both samples, while the temperature dependence of the average Co\u2013O bond lengths is linear from 10 to 300 K. We also have found that the Co\u2013O bond lengths are larger in La\n                    <jats:sub>0.5<\/jats:sub>\n                    Sr\n                    <jats:sub>0.5<\/jats:sub>\n                    Co\n                    <jats:sub>0.75<\/jats:sub>\n                    Nb\n                    <jats:sub>0.25<\/jats:sub>\n                    O\n                    <jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\n                    , as compared with the ones in LaCoO\n                    <jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\n                    . The X-ray absorption data showed an anomalous decrease of the Co\u2013O bond lengths only for LaCoO\n                    <jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\n                    , in contrast to the bond length values obtained by diffraction.
