Uptake of <jats:sup>14<\/jats:sup>C-BT increased after a 20-minute exposure to 1 % (v\/v) distilled water, and, compared to distilled water, it was decreased by Pedras Salgadas<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> 1 % (v\/v) and Melga\u00e7o<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> 5 % (v\/v), and increased by Vidago<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> 5 % (v\/v). Moreover, it increased after a 48-hour exposure to Vidago<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> or Melga\u00e7o<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> waters (5 % (v\/v)). Also, uptake of <jats:sup>14<\/jats:sup>C-BT was reduced after a 20-minute exposure to MgCl<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>, MgSO<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>, or CaCl<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>. Uptake of <jats:sup>3<\/jats:sup>H-OMG was reduced after a 20-minute exposure to Melga\u00e7o<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> water [1 % (v\/v)], when compared to distilled water. Also, a 48-hour exposure to Pedras Salgadas<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> or Melga\u00e7o<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup> water (5 % (v\/v)) increased and decreased uptake, respectively. Finally, uptake of <jats:sup>3<\/jats:sup>H-OMG decreased after a 20-minute exposure to MgSO<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub> or NaF.
