Res."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1978,12,20]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>As shown by the Geosecs results the equatorial Atlantic Ocean has both a lower water column inventory and a lower surface water concentration of bomb\u2010produced radiocarbon than do the temperate waters to the north and south. This anomaly can only be explained by equatorial upwelling.
