Kinetic energy spectra are characterized by background falloff rates with frequency \u03c9 ranging from \u03c9<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> to \u03c9<jats:sup>\u22122<\/jats:sup>, superposed by energetic narrow bands at specific frequencies. Significant spectral peaks are found at some of the inertial\u2010tidal nonlinear interaction frequencies (M<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> + f and M<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub> + f) and at higher semidiurnal harmonics (M<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>, M<jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub> and M<jats:sub>8<\/jats:sub>).
