Vulture volcano (southern Italy). Pure CO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> late stage FIs hosted in rock\u2010forming minerals of wehrlite xenoliths and clinopyroxene xenocrysts were trapped at the local crust\u2010mantle boundary (32\u00a0km). In contrast, trapping pressures within the loose olivine xenocrysts are from 3.2 to 4.5\u00a0kbar (8\u201313\u00a0km). Considering the ongoing degassing of mantle\u2010derived CO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> rich gases, together with seismic evidences of the presence of low amount of melts at depth, and the tectonic control of the past volcanic activity, our study opens new perspective about the hazardous nature of the \u201cquiescent\u201d melilitite\u2010carbonatite volcanoes.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1029\/2022gl099075","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,8]],"date-time":"2022-11-08T04:37:20Z","timestamp":1667882240000},"update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":8,"title":["New Inferences on Magma Dynamics in Melilitite\u2010Carbonatite Volcanoes: The Case Study of Mt.
