Inclinations are moderate to steep, while declination vary systematically along the arcuate trend of the Massif, suggesting pretectonic magnetization and oroclinal bending. The inclination differs from those of other Devonian results from Europe suggesting a separation between Southern and Northern Iberia. Lower Carboniferous volcanics from the \"Pyrite Belt\" were remagnetized in Middle Carboniferous, but a few sites were found with a high temperature component which might represent the primary magnetization. The paleolatitudinal movement computed from these magnetizations is in excellent agreement with that of Africa from Late Devonian to Middle Carboniferous.
