The pulses have peak field\u2010to\u2010background compression ratios ranging from 2.3 to 7.0 and full\u2010width half\u2010maximum durations from 12 to 72s, comparable to the H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O group ion gyroperiod. The waves air nearly circularly polarized and typically propagate at large angles (55\u00b0\u201375\u00b0) relative to the ambient magnetic field.
