The rate of block of calcium current was strongly concentration\u2010dependent.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>The EC<jats:sub>50<\/jats:sub> for the blocking effect at 0 mV was 7.7\u00b11.4 \u03bc<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc> after 6 min exposure to capsazepine. The EC<jats:sub>50<\/jats:sub> at equilibrium was estimated to be 1.4\u00b10.2 \u03bc<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>The block of calcium current showed some voltage\u2010dependence but there was no indication of any selectivity of action for a calcium channel subtype.
