Endophytic and saprobic <jats:italic>Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae<\/jats:italic> and endophytic <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>thailandica<\/jats:italic> are new records from this host. The internal transcribed spacers (ITS), part of the translation elongation factor-1\u03b1 (<jats:italic>tef1<\/jats:italic>) and partial \u03b2-tubulin (<jats:italic>tub2<\/jats:italic>) sequence data were analyzed to investigate the phylogenetic relationships of the new species with other <jats:italic>Lasiodiplodia<\/jats:italic> species. <jats:italic>Lasiodiplodia magnoliae<\/jats:italic> is phylogenetically sister to <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>mahajangana<\/jats:italic> and <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>pandanicola<\/jats:italic> but morphologically distinct from <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>mahajangana<\/jats:italic> in having larger conidia. <jats:italic>Lasiodiplodia endophytica<\/jats:italic> is most closely related to <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>iraniensis<\/jats:italic> and <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>thailandica<\/jats:italic> and the three species can be distinguished from one another by 2 base pair differences in ITS and three or four base pair differences in <jats:italic>tef1<\/jats:italic>.
