Serum samples from domestic animals (cattle and sheep) were obtained as part of routine veterinary surveillance activities conducted under official animal health programs, and no animals were specifically handled or sampled for the purpose of this research. Serum samples from wild Cervidae (red deer) were obtained from animals legally hunted during the official hunting season, in compliance with national wildlife and hunting regulations.
