In a Ca<jats:sup>2+<\/jats:sup>\u2010free solution, EGCG (1\u2003<jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic><jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>\u20131\u2003m<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>) relaxed 1\u2003<jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic><jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>PMA\u2010induced contractions, without previous transient contraction. However, EGCG (1\u2003<jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic><jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>\u20131\u2003m<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>) did not affect the 1\u2003<jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic><jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>okadaic acid\u2010induced contractions. Removal of endothelium and\/or pretreatment with glibenclamide (10\u2003<jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic><jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>), tetraethylammonium (2\u2003m<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>) or charybdotoxin (100\u2003n<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>) plus apamin (500\u2003n<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>) did not modify the vasorelaxant effects of EGCG.
