Utilizing the imaging characteristics of the sensor together with a proposed quality perceptive strategy, the presented fusion method achieves a light\u2010weight multiresponse fusion stage, which selects the optimal response of the pixels under different illumination from the captured images. The fused image is of better quality compared to a linear combination of weighted images.
