Res."],"accepted":{"date-parts":[[2020,3,18]]},"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2021]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Let <jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> = (<jats:italic>V, E<\/jats:italic>) be a graph of order <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic> and let <jats:italic>B<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic>) be the set of vertices in <jats:italic>V \\ D<\/jats:italic> that have a neighbor in the vertex set <jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic>. The differential of a vertex set <jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic> is defined as <jats:italic>\u2202<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic>) = <jats:italic>|B(D)| \u2212 |D|<\/jats:italic> and the maximum value of <jats:italic>\u2202<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic>) for any subset <jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic> of <jats:italic>V<\/jats:italic> is the differential of <jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic>. A set <jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic> of vertices of a graph <jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> is said to be a dominating set if every vertex in <jats:italic>V \\ D<\/jats:italic> is adjacent to a vertex in <jats:italic>D<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> is a dominant differential graph if it contains a <jats:italic>\u2202<\/jats:italic>-set which is also a dominating set. This paper is devoted to the computation of differential of wheel, cycle and path-related graphs as infrastructure networks.
