Ecosyst."],"accepted":{"date-parts":[[2020,5,7]]},"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2020]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>This contribution presents the first record of the Asian clam <jats:italic>Corbicula fluminea<\/jats:italic> M\u00fcller, 1774 in Greece. The species was collected in Erythropotamos River (Reka Luda \u041b\u0443\u0434\u0430 \u0440\u0435\u043a\u0430), one of the main tributaries of Evros River (classical name of the Maritsa river), thus being the southernmost record of this invasive bivalve in the Balkan Peninsula. The most likely entry source of <jats:italic>C. fluminea<\/jats:italic> in Greece is through active or passive downstream drift through the Bulgarian part of Erythropotamos River, which is shared between Bulgaria and Greece.
