Les amibes libres sont \u00e9galement des r\u00e9servoirs et des vecteurs de nombreux pathog\u00e8nes (tels que bact\u00e9ries, virus et champignons), facilitant leur propagation et potentiellement l\u2019\u00e9mergence de maladies. Les amibes libres sont aussi utilis\u00e9es comme mod\u00e8le pour \u00e9tudier les interactions entre eucaryotes et procaryotes.
