{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2024,2,11]],"date-time":"2024-02-11T05:10:30Z","timestamp":1707628230844},"reference-count":32,"publisher":"AIP Publishing","issue":"22","content-domain":{"domain":["pubs.aip.org"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2002,6,8]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>The crossed molecular beam technique is used to study the formation of negative ions in monosubstituted halobenzenes, by electron transfer collisions, using potassium atoms as electron donor projectiles, in a collision energy range from 10 up to 500 eV. The negative ions are detected by time-of-flight mass spectrometry and a quasidiatomic dynamical behavior in the fragmentation is found. A minor negative fragmentation of the phenyl ring is also reported. The parent negative ion is not observed for the range of collision energies in use.
