{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2025,7,30]],"date-time":"2025-07-30T10:50:37Z","timestamp":1753872637953,"version":"3.41.2"},"reference-count":10,"publisher":"AIP Publishing","issue":"7","content-domain":{"domain":["pubs.aip.org"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2008,4,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>In order to study the effects caused by substituting Co for Cu on the electronic and transport properties of Gd4(Co1\u2212xCux)3 compounds with x=0.05, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3, electrical resistivity [\u03c1(T)] measurements were performed in the temperature range 12\u2013300K. The paramagnetic-ferrimagnetic and spin-reorientation transitions are marked by clear anomalies in d\u03c1\u2215dT. For x=0.2, however, the onset of ferrimagnetic order at TC produces just a comparatively small peak in d\u03c1\u2215dT. This fact is compatible with a hypothetical mixed ferrimagnetic phase exhibiting partial disorder of the magnetic moments, as suggested by magnetic measurements [T. M. Seixas, J. M. Machado da Silva, H. F. Braun, and G. Eska (unpublished)]. The spin disorder resistivity shows a pronounced decrease with increasing x that can be attributed to the observed reduction of the magnetic moment of Co atoms. This stresses the important role played by 3d-band electrons in both magnetic state and in the strong s-d electron scattering. Magnon-induced electron scattering is also apparent in all compounds through well-defined maxima in d\u03c1\u2215dT, at temperatures ranging from 37to48K, where the magnetic contribution to d\u03c1\u2215dT largely exceeds the phonon contribution.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1063\/1.2831800","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2008,1,30]],"date-time":"2008-01-30T23:25:50Z","timestamp":1201735550000},"update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1063\/aip-crossmark-policy-page","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["Electrical resistivity of Gd4(Co1\u2212xCux)3 compounds"],"prefix":"10.1063","volume":"103","author":[{"given":"T.
